Developed in conjunction with K Consulting, the Flash Savings Audit accurately directs attention toward spend categories where efficiencies might lie.

The Flash Audit is a preliminary analysis of the Observatory data, providing two key outputs.  It firstly gives a top-level view of the key categories and top suppliers, and visually focuses attention on the high value areas of non-pay spend.  Secondly it offers an indicative view of potential savings, based on our category experience, benchmark data and anticipated risks and confidence per category.

The output from the Flash Audit should significantly reduce spend analysis workload from procurement staff, quickly allowing them to focus attention on the spend categories where the biggest efficiencies might lie - even for high-risk areas of spend.  The Audit is provided as a first step in a diagnostic process where a broader assessment, including face-to-face interviews on individual categories, information systems and policies & procedures, could be a natural progression.
