Positively influencing your interaction with the Third Sector

Strengthening your partnership with the Third Sector

The third sector makes an enormous contribution to our society, economy and environment. Every day, hundreds of thousands of organisations and millions of volunteers make a practical difference to the communities in which they operate. Social  enterprises  now  account  for  around  5  per  cent  of  all  businesses  with employees, and have a turnover of over £27 billion a year. The third sector has always been  at  the  heart  of  social  and  environmental  change  and  over the next 10 years the  Government  intends to strengthen its partnership with the third sector in an effort to extend their significance as a vehicle for the delivery of Government policy.

To generate the necessary insight into the nature and extent of your spend with charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises we have entered into an exclusive strategic alliance with Guidestar UK to integrate their Third Sector database into the Observatory in order to help you respond to many of the challenges identified in the Third Sector review and in particular to help positively influence progress toward a more equitable distribution of your organisation's spending with the third sector.

Using the online tools within the Observatory will enable you to answer the following questions:

Analyse

  • How much do you currently ‘spend' with the Third Sector?
  • Which Third Sector bodies are overly dependent on you for the bulk of their income?

Compare

  • In comparison with others what proportion of your overall non-pay spend is a realistic goal for spend locally, with the Third Sector?

Source Three

  • Generate lists of prospective Third Sector partners and export their contact details to allow rapid production of communications designed to inform the Third Sector locally of a partnership or trading opportunity.

To arrange a meeting to discuss how implementation of the Observatory can help your organisation positively influence your interaction with the third sector then please contact us.
