Extraction is quick, easy and painless

The first step is to extract the data from your financial systems. To support rapid extraction of the data with minimum effort, we use a documented data extraction specification. This is sent to the nominated data contact to help them extract the data from their financial management or eProcurement systems. An experienced Spikes Cavell account manager is on hand to provide practical advice, guidance and support, in order to help with the data extraction process. Once the extraction is completed, you can upload files directly to our secure servers, avoiding the complications that can arise when emailing large files or sending CDs.

Once we get the data, and verify that the structure is correct, we pass the source data through our data fitness check and a 'data fitness report’ is generated. The check is used to ascertain that the data we requested, has in fact been supplied and that it is consistent with expectations. The report also helps to identify and resolve any data issues that require rectification, before moving onto the next step in the data enhancement process.
